The trio takes its name from a 1952 Coleman Hawkins album, which well describes the spirit of these three musicians who were born on the “border”, both geographically and musically.

Their individual experiences are varied, sometimes adventurous and out of the ordinary, with an intense concert activity all over the world, CDs released by the most important record labels and collaborations with the greats of world music, from Cecil Taylor to Evan Parker, from Han Bennink to Anthony Braxton.

As a group they have released 3 CDs so far: “Disorder at the Border “(2015 – Palomar records),” Plays Ornette “(2016 – Nottwo records) and” Live at Achteckstadl “, with host Ewald Oberleitner (2021 – Klopotec records).

They share a universal language full of energy and adventure: free improvisation.
