Trama latina is a tribute to Latin America, its diaspora and the influence it has had and still has on us (David Linx). The trio protagonist of this project pays homage to some great composers/interpreters of South American culture and to what it has done for the universe by weaving the thin thread that links the past to the present. In other words, Paolo Fresu has written some lyrics in Sardinian on Linx’s music. Celsa Vilafora has written Brazilian lyrics on Fresu’s music. Linx has adapted some English lyrics for Pablo Milanès and Famke Sinninghe Damastè as well as writing some Dutch lyrics for Milton Nascimento. Beytelmann has composed by retracing the world of Piazzolla and has embellished the poetry of Linx and Fresu with his touch. Trama latina is in short a tribute to the energy that swings between continents and cultures.
