The voice of Naples and the face of Don Salvatore. After Mare Fuori, RAIZ brings to Udine a cornerstone of Neapolitan music with a tribute to Sergio Bruni.
A heartfelt concert, weaving together narration and music, dedicated to the songs written and performed by Sergio Bruni, is an idea I have nurtured for years. His music has accompanied my family history across a couple of generations; by honoring this great artist, I would also be paying tribute to the world that shaped me and gave me the means to express myself.

“I love all Neapolitan classical music, yet Sergio Bruni moves something deeper within me. His phrasing, his accent, his — perhaps not entirely conscious — organic connection to the whole Mediterranean song tradition makes me feel a kinship with him. I, who have always sought to broaden the horizons of the Gulf, washing my garments in the south-eastern Mediterranean, now feel the need to return to the origin by journeying through his repertoire as a songwriter.”

Raiz will once again be joined on this journey by his long-time collaborators, serving as musicians and arrangers: Radicanto.
