A formidable quartet, appearing together in Europe for the first time: Peter Erskine on drums, Alan Pasqua on piano, Darek Oles on double bass, and Bob Mintzer on saxophone. Peter Erskine is a global jazz icon who has written significant chapters in the history of modern music. Born in New Jersey, he began playing the drums at the age of four; by eighteen, he had already embarked on a professional career with the Stan Kenton Orchestra. However, it was with Weather Report that his legend truly took shape: alongside Jaco Pastorius and Joe Zawinul, he became a defining member during the golden era of one of the most influential fusion bands of all time. He recorded five albums with the group, including the renowned live recording “8.30”, which received a Grammy Award.

More recently, with the project “Peter Erskine Trio feat. Alan Pasqua & Darek Oles,” he was nominated for the 2023 Grammy Awards for the album “Live in Italy” (co-produced by Zenart Cooperativa Artistica), recorded in Camogli (GE) during the Italian tour in autumn 2021.
