An encounter between two international musicians, a sonic journey without borders: the duo of Emanuele Filippi and Giovanni Cigui transforms every performance into a unique and unrepeatable experience. Based between New York City and Mexico City, the two musicians naturally intertwine their Italian roots with the sounds and influences of the Americas, creating a musical dialogue where jazz, traditional music and improvisation merge into a distinctive contemporary language.

Giovanni Cigui

A versatile saxophonist and musician, Giovanni Cigui brings a strong musical identity shaped by international experiences. He currently lives in Mexico City, where he has performed with artists such as Jason Lindner, Tony Glausi and Benny Benack III. As saxophonist in the band of Latin Grammy-winning singer Mon Laferte, Cigui combines impeccable technique with inexhaustible creativity. He is also a dedicated educator, teaching saxophone at the Universidad Panamericana and coordinating artistic residencies for the Italian Cultural Institute in Mexico City.

Emanuele Filippi

A Friulian pianist of extraordinary versatility, Emanuele Filippi stands out for his lyrical and refined approach, combining tradition and innovation. Based in New York, he has collaborated with leading figures of the international jazz scene, including Enrico Rava, Seamus Blake and Flavio Boltro.

His music has been praised by Fred Hersch, one of the most influential pianists in contemporary jazz, who recognized Filippi’s unique talent.
